Reports from a South Korean news outlet suggest BLACKPINK are supposedly releasing a new EP later this year.
According to a source close to the matter via My Daily Korea, BLACKPINK are seemingly preparing a mini-album for release in November. According to the source, the group have already completed a photoshoot for the album’s jacket cover.
The source also claims that the group will be recording new music during their two-month break between shows once they wrap up their current leg this month before beginning a new run of dates in October.
However, it is worth noting that the group have not confirmed these reports. Their agency YG Entertainment has since responded to the reports, telling Newsen: “We will announce it later through official promotions.”
Should the group release release a mini-album, it’ll be their first since the 2019 EP ‘Kill This Love’. It’ll also be their first collection of material since the 2022 album ‘Born Pink’.
They most recently debuted the single ‘Jump’, which was co-produced by Diplo. Following the release of ‘Born Pink’ and the completion of its accompanying tour, the group went on a year-long hiatus and returned with a new tour in early July.

The ongoing stadium tour from BLACKPINK mark their first headline run of dates since their record-breaking ‘Born Pink World Tour’, which ran between 2022 and 2023. Those shows also saw the group reach new heights as it was soon certified as the highest-grossing tour by a girl group – drawing over 1.8million fans.
Since BLACKPINK’s last album – 2022’s ‘Born Pink’ – all four members have explored solo careers, including albums by Jennie, Rosé, Lisa and Jisoo. Additionally, Lisa made her acting debut in HBO’s The White Lotus season three.
