Best Buy has kicked off its first early Black Friday promotion on Halloween. The weekend event includes some notable gaming deals, including steep discounts on official Xbox Wireless Controllers. Amazon and Walmart have joined in on the fun by offering Carbon Black and Robot White editions of Microsoft’s controller for only $40. But if you want something with more style, the sales event also features the recently released Breaker Special Editions for $60 (was $80). All three models–Heart Breaker, Ice Breaker, and Storm Breaker–are eligible for the $20 discount.
Other Xbox Wireless Controller deals include last year’s awesome Pulse Cipher Special Edition for $55 (was $80), Velocity Green for $47.49 (was $70), and Shock Blue for $50 (was $70). You should also check out the deal on the Xbox Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller at Amazon and Walmart. Microsoft’s premium customizable gamepad is discounted to $145 (was $200), which is the lowest price we’ve seen all year.
Check out the list below for a quick rundown of all of the Xbox Wireless Controller deals ahead of Black Friday 2025. Since Best Buy’s DoorBOOsters promotion ends Sunday, November 2, the deals at Walmart and Amazon could disappear before Monday.

All of Microsoft’s standard and Special Edition controllers share the same feature set. The Xbox Wireless Controller has stood the test of time throughout the Xbox Series X|S console generation thanks to a comfortable form factor, strong battery life, and durable components. Microsoft’s controller is often viewed as the default gamepad not just for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, but for PC as well. The Bluetooth-enabled controller is also a great pick for mobile games on iOS or Android as well as for docked play on Steam Deck and other handheld PCs like the recently released ROG Xbox Ally X and Xbox Ally.

The Ice Breaker Xbox controller lives up to its name, as it sports a glacier-blue design and a frosted, translucent finish. This makes several parts of the controller look like fragmented crystals, and there are variations of blue found across the thumbsticks, ABXY buttons, and textured grips.

Microsoft calls the Storm Breaker controller a “refined” peripheral that has a color palette grounded in black, white, grey and silver highlights. It features a metallic d-pad and opaque top case, and when you rotate it, you’ll spot hints of silver foliage in the light.
$60 (was $80)
A controller with a very loud color scheme, the Heart Breaker combines neon pink and blue aesthetics into an eye-catching design. The translucent top case also adds depth to this artistic design.
