Microsoft has confirmed the first wave of titles heading to Xbox Game Pass this month following a controversial price increase – check out the games below:
Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service that gives players access to a huge library of games for a monthly fee. Last month, Microsoft confirmed it was changing Game Pass to offer players “more flexibility, choice and value”.
Essential is now the cheapest tier of Xbox Game Pass and will cost you £9.99 a month. For that, you get access to a library of more than 50 games that can be played across PC and console. The new Premium tier is £14.99 and includes a library of 200+ games and access to all new Xbox published games within a year of them launching, with the expectation of Call Of Duty. Ultimate is now £29.99 a month and is the only tier of Xbox Game Pass that will let you play Day One releases.
As part of the rework, Microsoft added more than 90 titles to Xbox Game Pass and now they’ve confirmed the first wave of October additions. Check them out below:

Microsoft has also confirmed a trio of titles will be leaving Xbox Game Pass on October 15 – Cocoon, Core Keeper and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutants Unleashed.
Speaking to The Verge, Microsoft’s Director of Gaming and Platform Communications Dustin Blackwell defended the Xbox Game Pass price hike. “We understand price increases are never fun for anybody, but we’re trying to reinforce by adding more value to these plans as well,” he explained. “It’s something we don’t take lightly, and we’re listening to the feedback of players and the community to try to provide them with more of what they’re asking for.”
