The second season of Nobody Wants This is flying high on Netflix, but will it be back for a third? Find the latest info below.
Created by Erin Foster, the show follows the unlikely relationship between Kristen Bell’s agnostic dating podcaster Joanne and the unconventional rabbi Noah (Adam Brody).
All 10 episodes of the second season landed on Netflix last week (October 23), with Joanne and Noah encountering new obstacles as their relationship grows. A synopsis reads: “Their spark proved stronger than all of the obstacles trying to keep them apart. Now, they’re back and fully committed to merging their lives – and loved ones – together. But their differences still exist and can’t be ignored.
“The challenge now is not just falling in love against all odds, but staying together in spite of them.”
Other cast members in the show include Justin Lupe, Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, Stephanie Faracy, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Emily Arlook and Sherry Cola.
The first season was named as one of NME’s best shows of 2024, with a review stating: “In a show where the comedy matters just as much as the romance, Brody and Bell’s chemistry is off the charts. Gentle, open-hearted Noah softens Joanne’s sharp edges while she opens his mind to new ideas, both discovering the best relationship of their lives along the way. Meanwhile, Veep’s Timothy Simons makes for superb comic relief as Noah’s dorky, self-deprecating brother Sasha – whose endearing bond with Joanne’s sister Morgan (Succession’s Justine Lupe) as the “loser siblings” should prove a goldmine for future seasons.”
Will there be a Nobody Wants This season three?

As the second season has only been out for a few days, it is currently unconfirmed whether it will be back for a third season. Typically, Netflix waits for a number of weeks to monitor the success of a show before it formally makes a decision about its future public.
However, Kristen Bell recently told Parade that the writing for season three was already under way. “The writer’s room is working right now,” she said. “You never know if you’re gonna be able to shoot because that’s way above our pay grade, and they decide what shows are gonna be shot. But the writer’s room is writing it right now. That we know.”
Showrunner Erin Foster also said in 2024 that she wanted to keep the show running for multiple more seasons, so as long as it continues to perform well in the streaming charts, fans can safely assume that Nobody Wants This will return.
