House Of Guinness has arrived on Netflix, but can fans expect to see a second season? Read on to find out the latest information.
All eight episodes of the Steven Knight-created show landed on Thursday (September 25), and they follow the lives of the titular Irish brewing family in the 19th century in the aftermath of patriarch Benjamin Guinness’s death.
The show explores the “far-reaching impact of his will on the fate of his four adult children”, Arthur, Edward, Anne and Ben, played by Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn and Fionn O’Shea respectively.
Speaking about the show, Peaky Blinders creator Knight told Tudum: “It’s the extraordinary story of a family who happens to be the inheritors of the biggest brewery in the world.”
“They’re young and are given the task of taking on this incredibly successful brand. The first priority is: Don’t screw it up. And the second priority is to make Guinness even bigger.”
House Of Guinness is one of several upcoming projects for Knight, which includes producing an Oasis reunion tour film, as well as the Peaky Blinders film that wrapped filming earlier this year.

The writer has also hinted at a new series of the Birmingham-set crime drama, which is reportedly set to go ahead in 2026.
He has also been confirmed to be writing the next James Bond film, which is being directed by Dune‘s Denis Villeneuve following Amazon’s takeover of the franchise.
Will there be a House Of Guinness season two?
With the first season having only just been released, there has not been any official word on whether the show has been re-commissioned for a second season.
Netflix often allow the first run of episodes of a new property to play out for a few weeks before making a formal announcement about its future, so if House Of Guinness performs well, it is likely that there will be a decision made in late September or October.
Knight recently gave an interview to the Irish Sun in which he clearly indicated that he would like to continue making the show. Replying to a question about the chances of a season two, he said: “I’m not allowed to say anything but I’m nodding.”
“I would love… I’m not saying this is what’s going to happen, but I’d love to take it up to now,” he added.
