Plot
While Iron Man’s legacy still looms large, Ironheart introduces a new kind of armored hero for a new generation. The series picks up after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, following teen genius Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) as she returns home to Chicago. Determined to carve out her own path, Riri brings a bold, innovative approach to high-tech armor—but her journey quickly detours into unexpected territory. She finds herself entangled with the enigmatic Parker Robbins, also known as “The Hood” (Anthony Ramos), whose dark, magical powers put Riri’s brilliance—and the balance between science and sorcery—to the ultimate test.
Ironheart may not reinvent the Marvel formula, but it delivers a slick, entertaining ride filled with high-tech thrills and plenty of intrigue. With strong performances and a fast-paced story, it’s a solid addition to the MCU that’s easy to enjoy. While some of its deeper themes around class and personal responsibility are only lightly touched on, the series lays the groundwork for more meaningful exploration down the line.
