Like clockwork, Xur has made his return to the Solar system and is ready for another weekend of intergalactic sales in Destiny 2. As usual, you’ll be able to obtain a selection of Exotic arms and armor, legacy gear, and a Xenology quest to earn an Exotic Cipher. You can also visit Saint-14 to see what gear you’ll be playing for in Trials of Osiris. Here’s where you can find Xur this weekend and what the Agent of the Nine has for sale.
This week you can find Xur in The Tower, inside the Hangar. For his weapon, Xur is offering the Black Talon Exotic sword. Hunters can pick up the Shards of Galanor gauntlets; Titans can grab the Antaeus Wards boots; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Verity’s Brow helmet.
Xur Location
Spawn in using the Courtyard transmat zone in the Tower to find Xur this week. Head left and down the stairs to enter the Hangar section, then hang another left. Make your way to the north end of the area and look for a staircase that will take you onto a catwalk, where Xur is waiting.
Xur Exotic and Legendary Items
- Exotic Engram – 97 Legendary Shards
- Black Talon – 29 Legendary Shards
- Shards of Galanor – 23 Legendary Shards
- Antaeus Wards – 23 Legendary Shards
- Verity’s Brow – 23 Legendary Shards
- Hawkmoon – 200 Legendary Shards, 125,000 Glimmer, 1 Ascendant Shard, 1 Exotic Cipher

- Xenology quest – Free
- Legendary weapons and armor – 50 Legendary Shards, 1,000 Glimmer
Xur also offers the Xenology quest every week, which requires you to complete 21 strikes or Crucible matches so that you can earn an Exotic Cipher. These are normally used to buy old Exotics from a kiosk in the Tower, but next season, you’ll be able to spend them at Master Rahool to get the Exotics that you want. The cap on Exotic Ciphers will also be increasing, as you’ll be able to hold up to five up them at a time.
Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
Exotic Weapons
Black Talon
While Exotic swords can be risky to use in high-level combat, these are still great weapons to have equipped in your Power slot for when you want to carve up enemies quickly. Black Talon doesn’t show up too often in Xur’s inventory, but when you have it, it’s a great sword that can tear through enemies when you have full ability energy. With the right Void-focused build using this season’s mods, it has some devastating potential.
Hawkmoon
It’s another sub-par week for Hawkmoon, with the curated roll being Hip-Fire Grip. That increases accuracy, stability, and precision when firing from the hip, but with a hand cannon that makes every precision shot count, it’s not the best perk to have. Everything else on this roll is from the standard pool of perks, including Polygonal Rifling, Combat Grip, and Alloy Magazine.
- Alloy Magazine
- Polygonal Rifling
- Hip-Fire Grip
- Combat Grip
Dead Man’s Tale
Dead Man’s Tale isn’t exceptional this week, but it’s not too bad either. More of a PvP-focused roll, the signature perk on this build is Snapshot Sights, which gives you faster time to aim down sights. Fluted Barrel and Armor-Piercing Rounds come in handy, while Composite Stock does a nice job at keeping this scout rifle steady.
- Fluted Barrel
- Armor-Piercing Rounds
- Snapshot Sights

Exotic Armor
Shards of Galanor
Shards of Galanor used to be the go-to Exotic for Solar Hunters back when Blade Barrage was one of the most powerful Supers in the game, but since that was nerfed in Lightfall, it’s hard to justify equipping this pile of scrap metal. A good Solar build can still get that Super up and running, and for stats, this Exotic has some great resilience, recovery, and discipline numbers to take advantage of.
- Mobility: 3
- Resilience: 11
- Recovery: 19
- Discipline: 17
- Intellect: 11
- Strength: 2
- Total: 63
Antaeus Wards
Antaeus Wards is a very PvP-focused Exotic, as it gives Titans a very impressive slide ability. Sliding into enemies and unloading with a shotgun has always been a great tactic in the Crucible, and these boots also benefit from some great stats in the right departments. Excellent resilience and strength come with this roll, and recovery isn’t too bad either.
- Mobility: 3
- Resilience: 19
- Recovery: 10
- Discipline: 6
- Intellect: 6
- Strength: 18
- Total: 62
Verity’s Brow
This Warlock helmet does a lot, depending on certain requirements being met. Grenade-focused builds is where it excels, as you’ll be able to quickly top up that ability and hurl enhanced explosives at enemies. The teamwork aspect isn’t too bad either, but in Season 20, Sunbracers has proven to be a more useful alternative to Verity’s Brow if you’re planning to focus on grenades. As for the numbers, this Exotic has a really good resilience stat, while recovery, discipline, and strength also boast some great numbers.
- Mobility: 2
- Resilience: 19
- Recovery: 11
- Discipline: 12
- Intellect: 7
- Strength: 9
- Total: 60
