**Warning: Spoilers Ahead**
Wednesday season two is now streaming in full on Netflix, but does Wednesday manage to save Enid by the end? Find out below.
The first season of the show centred on the goth teen at the heart of the Addams Family and proved to be a huge hit for Netflix, becoming the streamer’s biggest English-language series of all time.
The first half of the second season arrived in August, and now part two is here, as of September 3. Jenna Ortega returns in the title role, while half of the new episodes have been directed by Tim Burton.
It includes a memorable cameo performance from Lady Gaga as Rosaline Rotwood, and her appearance has coincided with the release of Gaga’s new single ‘The Dead Dance’, with a Burton-directed video.
In a four-star review of the first part of season two, NME wrote: “A frantic mid-season finale sets things up for an explosive return in September, which will also see the arrival of Lady Gaga’s Rosaline Rotwood. Perhaps that next batch of episodes will take the beloved series to new places after part one sticks carefully to the familiar, if successful, formula.”

One character who has not returned for the new season is Xavier, who had been set up as Wednesday’s potential love interest. He was written out after actor Percy Hynes White was the subject of sexual misconduct allegations, which he has denied.
A third season has already been commissioned, with showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar also now working on a spinoff series.
Wednesday season two ending explained: does Wednesday save Enid?
In the opening episode of season two, Wednesday has a vision of Enid’s tombstone in a crow-infested graveyard. The prophecy haunts her, and when her encounter with Gaga’s Rotwood sees Wednesday body-swapped with Enid in a Freaky Friday style, Wednesday realises that Enid is not only a werewolf, but an Alpha, meaning that she may end up stuck in wolf form permanently.
Billie Piper’s Ms. Capri attempts to help Enid control her powers, but towards the end of the season, when Wednesday is in trouble, Enid voluntarily changes to gain enough strength to save her. Knowing that she is now stuck, she flees Nevermore to be alone, in an effort to protect those around her.
Having been saved by Enid, Wednesday successfully reunites with the Addams family, with Thing turning on Isaac as Isaac attacked Wednesday, pulling out his clockwork heart and killing him.
Wednesday leads to Addams family on a new mission to track down Enid, who they believe is trapped in Alpha wolf form and heading for the Canadian border. With help from Thing and Uncle Fester, as well as Aunt Ophelia’s diary, they hope to be able to restore Enid to human form again. However, the end of the season leaves viewers on a cliffhanger, setting up the conclusion to Enid’s plight as a hook for the third season.
