Fans without tickets for Oasis‘s first homecoming show were unperturbed last night and listened to the Manchester gig from the pub across the road from Heaton Park. Check out footage below.

Having kicked off their long-awaited ‘Live ’25’ tour in Cardiff last week, the reunited Liam and Noel Gallagher returned to Manchester after 16 years away, taking to the stage in front of a huge crowd of 80,000 fans for the first of five sold-out concerts at Heaton Park.
Fans travelling from across the globe had queued overnight to bag a good standing spot, and the audience belted out ‘Live Forever’ hours before the Britpop icons set foot on stage (as captured by first support act Cast).
In new clips shared by the Manchester Evening News, fans outside the venue can be seen singing along too. In The Ostrich pub, they chanted along to ‘Little by Little’, which appeared on last night’s setlist led by Noel.

Others also opted to sit in the Heaton Park to catch the sound of the gig, saying you could “hear everything” as well as see the gig from the mammoth 84 by 12 metres screens.

However, those not content with listening from afar can be seen in new TikTok videos trying to break into the venue – with little success. In one video, police can be seen chasing after a group trying to get in over a ladder.

Elsewhere last night, fans found there were no changes to the setlist from the first two shows, as some had hoped for, but the historic gig was littered with various nods to Oasis’ hometown.
A cardboard cutout of Man City’s Pep Guardiola stood behind Noel, and the real-life manager was in attendance, even receiving a shoutout from Liam, who said: “I’d like to dedicate this next song to the greatest fucking manager of all time, Mr. Pep Guardiola,” before performing ‘D’You Know What I Mean?’.
After their five shows in Manchester, Oasis will play seven nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, and make stops in both Edinburgh and Dublin. From there, they will head to North America, South America, Australia, South Korea and Japan.
At the first of the band’s 2025 reunion shows, NME gave their performance in Cardiff a glowing five-star review: “After a ‘90s heyday and an often maligned post-millennium era, this is Oasis redesigned for the 21st Century.
“Playing before a pop-art-meets-psychedelia visual spectacular that never distracts but will look sick on a phone, they seem the quintessential stadium band playing the greatest hits of greatest hits.”
