He transformed the love-sick pop-rock track into an emotional, yearning ballad. Capaldi played acoustic guitar on his rendition, with his band adding organ, trumpet, drums and more alongside a string section.

“I just love Paramore, I love Hayley Williams,” Capaldi explained when asked about his choice of cover.

“We were on tour recently and just sort of knocking around ideas, and then this one popped its head up. It just felt like a no-brainer. So here we are. I hope we don’t mess it up.”

The artist also delivered a live version of his recent single ‘Something In The Heavens’ on the show. Check out both performances below, or listen back to the full session via BBC Sounds.

‘Still Into You’ appears on Paramore’s self-titled fourth studio album, which was released in 2013.

Capaldi wrapped up a UK and Ireland arena tour last month, following his surprise return to Glastonbury Festival this summer.

He’ll embark on another UK and Ireland headline tour next summer, including two nights headlining BST Hyde Park and topping the bill at Leeds’ new Roundhay Festival (find any remaining tickets here). Capaldi has also been announced as one of the headliners for Isle Of Wight Festival 2026, alongside The Cure and Calvin Harris.

Earlier this month, the singer reflected on his awkward exchange with Formula One reporter Martin Brundle in Singapore that went viral online. Elsewhere, he treated fans to a performance of ‘Something In The Heavens’ on the roof of an Aldi supermarket.

The aforementioned track followed on from the powerful single ‘Survive’. Despite returning with new music in 2025, Capaldi has yet to announce the follow-up to his 2023 second album ‘Broken By Desire to Be Heavenly Sent’. However, he did perform some unreleased songs on his recent tour.
