A new clip from the upcoming Bruce Springsteen film Deliver Me From Nowhere sees star Jeremy Allen White performing the musician’s classic track ‘Born To Run’. Watch below.
The movie charts the period in The Boss’ life when he recorded his sixth album ‘Nebraska’ (1982), with The Bear‘s White portraying the legendary singer-songwriter. It is due to arrive in cinemas on October 24.
Yesterday (September 30), 20th Century Studios shared a one-minute preview of Deliver Me From Nowhere – which shows White’s Springsteen on stage at the Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1981.
We see The Boss playing his 1975 hit ‘Born To Run’ – taken from his third album of the same name – to a huge, energetic crowd at the arena. Tune in here:
Meanwhile, White recently admitted that he didn’t want advice from Timothée Chalamet or Austin Butler ahead of filming Deliver Me From Nowhere. Chalamet starred as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown (2024), while Butler portrayed Elvis Presley in 2022’s Elvis.
“And sometimes I wish I had, but my process was a little different because I had Bruce,” the actor explained.

Elsewhere, director Scott Cooper revealed that the new film would contain “new information to even [Springsteen’s] most ardent fans”.
The Boss previously described Deliver Me From Nowhere as “an anti-biopic”. He also discussed why he gave the movie the go-ahead, despite it exploring a “difficult” time in his life.
Cooper has praised White’s portrayal of Springsteen, saying that the actor had “an intensity of vulnerability and authenticity”. He said: “Jeremy has two things that really, for me, make up Bruce Springsteen, and one is humility. And the other is swagger.”

Critics have been largely positive about White’s performance in the first reviews of Deliver Me From Nowhere, with one describing his transformation as “nothing less than stunning”. Another writer called the movie an “unorthodox” biopic, while acknowledging Cooper’s “choices that hinder Nowhere from being a truly great film”.
Alongside White, the film stars Succession‘s Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s manager and producer Jon Landau, Adolescence‘s Stephen Graham as his father Douglas, and The Staircase‘s Odessa Young as love interest Faye Romano.
Springsteen visited White on set in New Jersey late last year before meeting the child actor who plays his younger self, Matthew Anthony Pellicano.
Later this month, The Boss will finally release the legendary electric version of ‘Nebraska’. He has already previewed the collection with a demo version of ‘Born In The U.S.A.’.
In other news, Springsteen has called for President Donald Trump’s impeachment, while also criticising the Democratic Party in the US.
