Support will come from special guests The Vaccines, James Marriott and The Royston Club.

“London is the first place outside of Ireland we called home, we recorded ‘Tourist History’ in this city and it’s been the setting for so many iconic moments in our career,” said Two Door Cinema Club.

“We’re proud to be Irish, but this also feels like a hometown show for us. London knows how it’s done, so we can’t wait to celebrate with you.”

Tickets go on general sale at 9am BST this Friday (October 10) – you’ll be able to buy yours here. Alternatively, fans can sign up to access a pre-sale at the same time on Wednesday (8).

Two Door Cinema Club have also announced 15th anniversary ‘Tourist History’ gigs at Cork’s Live At The Marquee and Dublin’s Fairview Park for next June.

Ahead of confirming the pair of Irish dates, the band wrote: “What do you do when your ‘Tourist History’ baby turns 15?? Have a party of course!

“So how about some extra special anniversary shows where we play the album in full plus some other surprises? Hearing stories from you guys about how the record impacted you really brought it home for us. So let’s celebrate!”

‘Tourist History’ features the singles ‘Something Good Can Work’, ‘I Can Talk’, ‘Undercover Martyn’ and ‘What You Know’. Earlier this year, the latter track reached 1billion streams on Spotify. “We wrote this song in a garage in Donaghadee. This is insane!” the group wrote.

The album reached Number One on the Irish chart and landed a spot on the BBC’s coveted ‘Sound Of’ poll in 2010. NME gave ‘Tourist History’ a 7/10 review, writing: “Two Door’s stuttering yet spiky songs are tighter than a snake’s bumhole in a sandstorm.

“[…] Listening to the likes of the thrillingly optimistic ‘What You Know’ and ‘I Can Talk’ makes you feel like you could wrestle former WWE slaphead ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and win.”

Speaking to NME last year, bassist Kevin Baird explained: “When we first formed, we were looking up to bands like Bloc Party and Foals but by the time we released ‘Tourist History’, it didn’t really feel like we were part of a scene.

“It gave us a bit of a chip on our shoulder and we felt like outsiders, but we just focused on doing our own thing. We also knew that we couldn’t recapture the magic of breakout songs like ‘Undercover Martyn’ and ‘What You Know’, so we’ve always chased doing something new. I hope people don’t just see us as that band from 2010.”

He added: “When we wrote ‘Tourist History’, we didn’t really know what we were supposed to be doing and no one was ever meant to hear it beyond our friends and whoever turned up at our gigs at Belfast pubs. Once you have some success though and a wider audience is listening, that’s when the pressure comes in.”

Two Door Cinema Club have released five LPs in total, their latest being 2022’s ‘Keep On Smiling’. They have since shared the singles ‘Sure Enough’ (2023) and ‘Happy Customers’ (2024).
