Two Door Cinema Club will be playing a huge show at Cardiff Castle next year to celebrate 15 years of ‘Tourist History’.
The Northern Irish trio – comprising Alex Trimble, Sam Halliday and Kevin Baird – will head to the site for a huge anniversary celebration next summer as part of TK Maxx presents DEPOT Live at Cardiff Castle.
Taking to the stage on Sunday August 2, the band will celebrate 15 years of their debut album by playing the album tracklist in full.
They will be joined by fellow indie stars Friendly Fires, as well as groundbreaking new band 3LIJAH, who will open the show.
“We’re so excited to be coming back to Cardiff and to be playing at the iconic Cardiff Castle,” Two Door Cinema Club said. “We have fond memories of introducing our first album songs to a tiny crowd at the Cardiff Barfly and we’re so happy our relationship with Cardiff has taken us on a beautiful journey through iconic Welsh venues. This one is going to be special.”
The album was the first to put the band on the map, and contained hits like ‘What You Know’, ‘Something Good Can Work’ and ‘Undercover Martyn’. They followed it up with albums ‘Gameshow’, ‘False Alarm’ and ‘Keep on Smiling’, which have all landed in the Top 10 of the UK charts.
