The Lovely Eggs have shared the support acts joining them for their upcoming 20th anniversary UK tour, with names including Stewart Lee and Frank Skinner. Check out the details below.
The Lancaster duo will be heading out on the road next month to celebrate their 20th anniversary together as a band. Over the years, they have become recognised for inviting challenging and inimitable artists to join them for the dates, and this time will be no different.
Main musical support for the shows will come from Bradford’s Polite Bureaux. The slot comes following the group having released their second DIY studio album ‘Except Your Skint’, and will see them deliver their mix of spoken word, electronic, and punk energy to the stage.
They have also lined-up some comedians to join them for the tour. This comes after they played at the 100 Club at the end of 2024, and had Stewart Lee, Frank Skinner and Phill Jupitus all in attendance. Now, for the 2025 shows, they will have a different comic appear each night to help warm up the crowd.

This will include Phill Jupitus, under the moniker Porky The Poet, who has performed poetry alongside the likes of Madness, Billy Bragg, Paul Weller and The Pogues since 1983, and Scottish comedian Zara Gladman.
Co-founder of Viz Comic, Simon Donald will be joining too, as will Stewart Lee, Frank Skinner, Rob Auton and Eric Rushton.

“The last 20 years have been a lifelong dedication to music and art. It’s never been a job, it’s a lifestyle, a way of life, an ethos and a commitment to creating,” said Holly Ross. “We’ve spent most of our lives being in bands and trying to challenge a mainstream conventional lifestyle.”
Dates kick off in Edinburgh on October 22, and continue with stops in Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Brighton, London, Manchester and more throughout the month. Dates conclude with a penultimate stop in Nottingham on October 31, and a final night in Bristol on November 1.

To mark their anniversary, The Lovely Eggs have also announced a limited release called ‘Bin Juice’. This is a collection of self-recorded outtakes from their last album ‘Eggsistentialism’, alongside rare B-sides.
It will be released via their own label, Egg Records, and includes artwork by Casey Raymond. The band are also sharing it in a black plastic bin bag on neon toxic slime green vinyl. There will also be 300 copies exclusive to Rough Trade with alternative coloured sleeve and art. This arrives on special edition transparent vinyl with toxic orange and slime green Bin Juice splatters.
“We had all these spare songs after we released our last album ‘Eggsistentialism’, and we didn’t really know what to do with them,” explained Holly. “They just didn’t seem to fit in with the vibe of ‘Eggsistentialism’, but we’d recorded them and wanted to get them out there.”
‘Bin Juice’ will be available on vinyl from Friday October 17. Visit here to pre-order, and check out ‘The Grind’ single above.
