Earlier this year, Sony confirmed Plus would be “shifting focus” to the PlayStation 5 from the start of 2026. “PS4 games will no longer be a key benefit and will only be occasionally offered for PlayStation Plus Monthly Games and Game Catalog starting January 2026,” explained a statement. “We may still provide titles that can be playable on both PS4 and PS5 consoles after this date.”
Earlier this year, The Last Of Us Part Two got a controversial new update that lets you play through Abby and Ellie’s story chronologically.
“Through the new Chronological mode, we believe players will gain even deeper insight into Part 2’s narrative. Players will be able to see how Ellie being gifted a guitar flows so neatly into her learning to play, for example, while the journey through Seattle will showcase the fascinating parallels between Ellie and Abby’s crisscrossing journeys,” explained Naughty Dog. “You’ll see just how close they come into running into each other, how their actions impact each other, and more.”
Meanwhile, HBO has confirmed the third season of The Last Of Us will “definitely” air in 2027 and could end the live-action adaptation.
In other news, Hunter Schafer has been announced as one of the actors for Hideo Kojima’s new horror video game collab OD which is being created alongside Jordan Peele.
