In a statement shared on social media yesterday evening (July 22), The Damned wrote: “We are very sorry to have to cancel our Seattle, Portland and Vancouver shows this weekend, due to an unexpected and catastrophic event at a member of The Damned’s home.

“We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Refunds will be available for our two headline shows at your point of purchase.”

There is currently no further information about the circumstances surrounding the cancellations, but fans on Reddit have shared their well wishes. See the announcement post below.

The axed Portland date was for the 2025 Project Pabst festival, where Fidlar have been added to the line-up to replace The Damned (see above).

They wrapped up a run of North American gigs back in May, and are currently set to return to the US and Canada this September. The group recently concluded a series of shows in Europe.

On April 11, The Damned will play a special 50th anniversary concert at the OVO Arena Wembley in London. They’ll be joined by special guests The Loveless featuring Marc Almond, as well as Peter Hook & The Light and The Courettes. Find any remaining tickets here.

For their 2024 tour, The Damned announced the return of their ’80s line-up featuring drummer Rat Scabies.
