Now, in a new video shared by her Taylor Nation team on Saturday (September 20), she has told fans what to expect from the physical variants, saying her latest era had inspired more imagery than she ever anticipated.

“The photo shoot that we did with Mert [Alas] and Marcus [Piggott] was so extraordinary, and I was so happy with it that I just wanted the fans to have as many images from this sort of world, this album era, as possible,” Swift said in the new clip. “So, I really spent a lot of time figuring out how I could make the best vinyl product and the best packaging and the best CD experience that they could have.”

She went on to say the CDs will all come with photo cards in them, while the vinyl copies would have a “unique” poem inside. “They’ve got more images than we ever planned to put in there,” she added.

In discussing the album artwork, Swift spoke about trialling new finishes inspired by the glamour of showgirls, saying: “We chose this really high-gloss finish which I’ve never done before, and I think it looks so cool. We wanted this album to feel really luxurious and kind of as a nod to the luxury that a showgirl puts on when she’s on stage.”

“It took a lot of time to put together, a lot of concentration, a lot of organisation, but hopefully it pays off. I hope fans are happy,” concluded Swift, who on Friday (September 19), announced her new project is also headed to cinemas with The Official Release Party of a Showgirl.

The 89-minute “release party” event will run from the Friday release day (October 3) to Sunday October 5, and will see the premiere of the first music video from the album for ‘The Fate of Ophelia’, as well as behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot, lyric videos for other songs on the album and Swift’s “never-before-seen personal reflections” about those new songs.

So far, its been shared that the record was co-produced by Max Martin and Shellback, alongside Swift herself. The singer has also revealed the full tracklist for the album, which includes a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter on the title track.

Swift has described the LP as “the record I’ve been wanting to make for a very long time”. The project will focus on “what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life” during the record-breaking ‘Eras Tour’.
