‘Succession’ star Nicholas Braun arrested on suspicion of DUI

Succession star Nicholas Braun has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of DUI Impairment and Operating Without Lights in Moultonborough, New Hampshire.

According to an article by TMZ, last Friday (August 29) the actor was pulled over by local police who put him in Carroll County jail for around an hour, before he was released on his own recognizance. No bail was set, and court reports have scheduled an arraignment date of September 16.

The outlet reports that Braun did not take a mugshot, due to the police camera not working.

Nicholas Braun is yet to comment on the incident. 

Beginning his career as a child actor in the early ‘00s, the actor would appear in the 2005 superhero movie Sky High before going on to star in dramas such as The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, The Stanford Prison Experiment, and SNL biopic Saturday Night, in which he played both Jim Henson and comedian Andy Kaufman.

In 2018, he became a member of the main cast of Succession, playing Gregory Hirsch aka Cousin Greg on the HBO drama. His performance made him a fan favourite, with the actor nominated three times for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at The Emmys. He would appear in all four seasons of the show. In 2022, he voiced a cartoon version of the character for an episode of The Simpsons.

Most recently, Braun starred in the comedy Splitsville opposite Dakota Johnson, which premiered at Cannes in May and is released in the US September 5.

Succession ran from 2018-2023, and followed the wealthy Roy family, who control the global media conglomerate Waystar RoyCo. Brian Cox won critical acclaim as patriarch Logan Roy, whose ailing health prompts his four children to plan for a future without him as their leader.
