The singer-songwriter took to her Instagram Stories to share a post dedicated to Buckingham on Friday (October 3).
“Wishing you the best Birthday ever @lindseybuckingham! Love’s ya! Stevie,” she wrote as he turned 76.
It came just two days after she kicked off her North American tour at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. On the opening night, Nicks played a career-spanning set, including a rendition of Fleetwood Mac‘s ‘Angel’ live for the first time in 42 years.
Her birthday wishes also come after she recently shared an unearthed letter sent to her parents before the peak of her fame during the recording of ‘Buckingham Nicks’ in 1973, following the recent reissue of the record.
Addressing her mother, father, and brother Chris at the time, she said: “I know it will pay off in the end,” adding that when she one day was sitting in her “small but luxurious Beverly Hills home”, it would “all be worth it.”

While the initial release of ‘Buckingham Nicks’ wasn’t a great commercial success, it was the precursor to Mick Fleetwood asking the then couple to join Fleetwood Mac.
The ‘Buckingham Nicks’ reissue is seemingly the closest fans will get to a Fleetwood Mac reunion, given that Nicks has said that without the late Christine McVie, “there is no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together.”
Nicks’ current tour was originally set to kick off in August, but was rescheduled after she suffered a shoulder fracture. The August and September dates have since been rescheduled for October, November and December – see the full list of dates here.
Elsewhere, Mick Fleetwood and Buckingham recently teamed up with Miley Cyrus on her new single ‘Secrets’.
Nicks also recently has said she’s working on a new album, saying it was made up of “real stories, memories of mine, of fantastic men”.
