The thundering 2XKO anthem ‘Ties That Bind’ featuring vocals from Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante has been released – check it out below.
2XKO is a free-to-play two-player fighting game from Valorant developers Riot Games that will pit League Of Legends and Arcane favourites against one another. “Good teamwork can make the difference between victory and defeat. Master a variety of unique tag and assist mechanics to outplay the enemy duo and secure your spot at the top,” reads the official description.
Following a successful closed beta last month, 2XKO is set to launch in early access later today (October 7) on PC, with an Xbox and PlayStation release to follow.
To celebrate the release, Riot Games has released a new 2XKO anthem in collaboration with Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante. According to a press release ‘Ties That Bind’ “delivers a powerful and anthemic soundscape that crescendos into an epic, soaring finale for players,” and comes alongside a new cinematic trailer. Check it out below:
The video was released last night but has already racked up more than a million views. “Riot once again proving how good of a music company they are. They even made a fighting game to promote it,” joked one fan. “This is so sick,” said another. Polyphia released the official 2XKO theme ‘Let’s Go’ earlier this year, and Riot has previously teamed up with Linkin Park, Chrissy Costanza, NewJeans and Lil Nas X for League Of Legends anthems.
Their celebrated Arcane soundtrack featured new music from Twenty One Pilots, Ashnikko, Stray Kids and more.

Spiritbox released their second album ‘Tsunami Sea’ earlier this year while LaPlante recently teamed up with Babymetal for ‘My Queen’ and collabed with Poppy and Evanescence’s Amy Lee on ‘End Of You’. “Instead of just dreaming about it, Poppy really went for it and made it happen. Instead of half-assing it, Amy went full out and crushed it,” LaPlante told NME. “All I can do is rise to the occasion and show them the respect they deserve, that they have also shown to me.”
In other news, Skate season one will add 21 new songs to the soundtrack as part of a ‘90s-inspired update.
