Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The new arcade racer is earning pretty great reviews from critics, as it currently holds an 83 average on Metacritic. CrossWorlds has the largest roster in series history, with a long list of Sonic the Hedgehog characters being joined by famous faces from Minecraft, Pac-Man, SpongeBob SquarePants, Persona, Like A Dragon, and Hatsune Miku. If you want to dive into the most customizable and content-rich Sonic racing game yet, the Amazon-exclusive physical edition is in stock for Switch, PS5, and Xbox.
Switch: $60 | PS5/Xbox: $70

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is one of several new games with an exclusive edition at Amazon. While supplies last, Amazon customers will find an exclusive poster, shown above, tucked inside the case with the Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X physical editions.
Silent Hill f, which released the same day as CrossWorlds, and Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, which launches September 30, also have Amazon-exclusive editions with posters.

PC players can’t get the poster, but they can save on CrossWorlds. Steam keys for the standard and Digital Deluxe versions are discounted at Fanatical (a GameSpot sister site). The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the Season Pass with six DLC packs and a Sonic Prime Character Pack.
$70 | Released September 25

The standard PlayStation and Xbox versions of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds cost $70, the same price as the Amazon-exclusive edition.
While physical Xbox Series X copies are playable on the Xbox One, PS4 players need to buy the digital edition.
$60 | Upgrade to Switch 2 for $10

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds for Nintendo Switch is 10 bucks cheaper on Nintendo Switch. This version is playable on Switch 2 out of the box.
It’s worth noting that Sega is developing a dedicated version for Switch 2, but it won’t be available until the holiday season in digital format. A true physical edition for Switch 2–the full game on a 64GB game card–will arrive in early 2026. If you want to play at launch, you can grab the Nintendo Switch edition for $60 and then pay $10 to upgrade when the Switch 2 version launches.
Along with a launch lineup of 23 racers, there are 45 different vehicles that can be modified from a pool of 70 gadgets. CrossWorlds currently has 24 main courses and 15 “CrossWorlds,” which can be teleported to mid-race using the new Travel Ring mechanic. There are several solo and multiplayer modes, including local split-screen co-op and online matchmaking with up to 12 players.
If you’re buying the Digital Deluxe Edition in part because of the Sonic Prime Character Pack, it’s worth noting that the Netflix animated series released on Blu-ray with a collectible steelbook case earlier this year. Sonic Prime: The Complete Series Steelbook Edition is on sale for $27 (was $50) at Amazon and Walmart.
