Scarlett White has shared a TikTok with her parents Jack White and Karen Elson to celebrate walking her first fashion runway in Paris.
The 19-year-old model took to the catwalk for fashion label Ann Demeulemeester in the French capital this week and on Saturday (October 4), she posted a video of her with her parents as they sang Prince’s ‘When Doves Cry’.
Both White and Elson re-shared the clip, with the former White Stripes frontman writing: “In Paris with the fantabulous fam of @scarbarbar and @misskarenelson after Scarlett’s runway walk for @anndemeulemeester_official, we sing like this every Saturday, glad we finally filmed it.”
Elson captioned her post with: “Congratulations @scarbarbar for walking in your first Parisian runway show and for getting your parents @officialjackwhite to do a TikTok.”
White and musician and model Elson were married from 2005 to 2013 and their daughter Scarlett was born in 2006.

She joined her father on stage in New York City’s Irving Plaza in February, playing bass with him on a version of ‘Archbishop Harold Holmes’, and has done similar in the past, including in 2023 when she played ‘The Hardest Button To Button’ with him in Nashville.
Prior to that, she was credited with recording bass on the studio version of ‘Into The Twilight’ from White’s 2022 album ‘Fear Of The Dawn’.
Speaking about Scarlett with Consequence late last year, Jack White said she’s a “great” bassist, but wants her to forge her own path: “She likes doing her own thing, and I like her doing her own thing, so once in a while we might touch base here and there, but, I like her doing her own thing, and I think that’s where she feels comfortable, too.”
As for Jack White, his dabbling in TikTok follows his conversion earlier this year into the world of smartphones. He became the “reluctant owner of a cellular telephone” for his 50th birthday after having been a longtime advocate of mobile phones being banned from his gigs and having proudly stated in the past that he has never owned one himself.
Elson, meanwhile, came to the defence of White Stripes drummer Meg White in 2023 after she came in for criticism online. “Not only is Meg White a fantastic drummer, Jack [White] also said the White Stripes would be nothing without her,” she wrote. “To the journalist who dissed her, keep my ex husband’s ex wife name out of your fucking mouth. (Please and Thank You).”
