Robert Plant has announced details of a new album called ‘Saving Grace’, which sees him team up with a new band of distinguished players. Check out the first single from the release below.
Described by the singer, songwriter and former Led Zeppelin frontman as “a song book of the lost and found”, the new album will be released on September 26 via Nonesuch Records. Visit here to pre-order.
It sees Plant join forces with the band Saving Grace, which is comprised of vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, and cellist Barney Morse-Brown, and work for the album began during the COVID-19 pandemic.
While most of his recent collaborations have seen him reconnect with longtime creative partner Alison Krauss – with the two embarking on a tour together last summer – this album saw him use his time in lockdown in the English countryside to become connected with the musicians that would later come to form Saving Grace.
The album was recorded between April 2019 and January 2025 in the Cotswolds region, as well as on the Welsh Borders.
Alongside announcing the album, Plant and his latest band have released the first preview of the record, sharing a cover of Low’s ‘Everybody’s Song’ as the lead single. Check it out above.

“We laugh a lot, really. I think that suits me. I like laughing,” Plant said of his latest project.. “You know, I can’t find any reason to be too serious about anything. I’m not jaded. The sweetness of the whole thing… These are sweet people and they are playing out all the stuff that they could never get out before.
“They have become unique stylists and together they seem to have landed in a most interesting place.”
Elsewhere in the new album, Plant and co. share covers of songs by Memphis Minnie, Bob Mosley (Moby Grape), Blind Willie Johnson, Martha Scanlan, and Sarah Siskind too. Check out the tracklist below.

In other Robert Plant news, earlier this month, the singer joined up with Paul Weller for the new single, ‘Clive’s Song’. He was also among the first to pay tribute to Liverpool star Diogo Jota, who died at the age of 28.
The Portuguese international footballer was killed in a car accident in northern Spain in the early hours of Thursday (July 3). His 25-year-old brother, Andre Silva, also a professional footballer in Portugal, was also killed.
“What a tragic loss. The dimming of a bright, shining light. Thank you for your magic, Diogo,” Plant wrote.
