The 2026 European leg of Sony’s live PlayStation: The Concert tour has now been cancelled after being rescheduled earlier this year.
PlayStation: The Concert tour was announced last October and fans were promised a “groundbreaking” live event that would “bring the most iconic gaming soundtracks to life.” Music from The Last Of Us, God Of War, Ghost Of Tsushima and the Horizon series were all confirmed to be part of the show.
A UK tour took place earlier this year but a planned European run was quietly cancelled with a handful of dates rescheduled to early 2026. Last month, a planned 2025 US run of shows was scrapped. “Our team has spent a considerable amount of time developing this project, and we share in the disappointment of fans who will no longer be able to attend,” read a statement from organised GEA Live, but no reason was given for the cancellation. “We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported the show and appreciate your understanding in making this difficult decision.”

Now it seems the planned 2026 European tour for PlayStation: The Concert has been scrapped.
The rescheduled run of shows was due to kick off March 6, 2026 at the ING Arena in Brussels, with gigs in Düsseldorf, Zurich, Munich and Berlin set to follow throughout the month. However none of these events are listed on the official PlayStation: The Concert website and venues have started offering customers refunds.
“Due to unexpected reasons beyond our control, we regret to inform you that PlayStation | The Concert will not take place,” says the updated listing on Munich’s Olympic Hall website. “We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. Refunds are available at the original point of purchase.”
#PlayStationTheConcert was devastatingly disappointing. No live choir (was pre-recorded) only 2 singers for the whole show – they were also the hosts of the evening. AI images/PowerPoint transitions, low res cartoon imagery and a LOT of backing track? £100 a ticket. Frustrating. pic.twitter.com/yIRx67Jo9Z

“I went and you’re not really missing much imo,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “Music performance was good with talented musicians playing, but the overall production was a bit strange and lacklustre They essentially just got the game assets and looped them on projected screens while the music played.”
Originally Sony planned to take PlayStation: The Concert to over 200 cities by the end of 2026. As it stands, 48 shows are still scheduled to take place across North America in 2026 but already a few venues have stopped selling tickets.
In other news, the creator of the Dead Of Alive franchise Tomonobu Itagaki has died, aged 58. The game developer was also behind the rebooted Ninja Gaiden series.
