
This week, Activision is launching Overwatch 2 Season 19: Haunted Masquerade, the latest Halloween-themed event for the franchise. This year, Haunted Masquerade is introducing magical masks of their allied heroes that give the characters special buffs and powers. For example, Tracer can wear a Winston mask, and he can wear her mask. The launch trailer below shows off some of those new mask abilities in action.
In addition to the Haunted Masquerade arcade mode, the new season is bringing back Halloween Terror 2025, which will allow four players to team up in co-op to defend Adlersbrunn from Dr. Junkenstein and his monster minions. Your chosen heroes will have to face hordes of foes and “powerful bosses” to maintain control of the castle.
Additionally, Junkenstein’s Revenge lets players control Sojourn, Junker Queen, Kiriko, and Ashe as they crush barricades and battle “exploding zombie omnics,” as well as Banshee Moira and Gargoyle Winston, before uncovering Adlersbrunn’s castle. The new season is also bringing back Wrath of the Bride as a co-op fight and adding new Mythic cosmetics and other in-game collectibles.
Stadium is adding three new heroes: Hazard, Sojourn, and Torbjörn. It’s also getting a new map, Busan (Control), and other item upgrades. Additionally, the trailer briefly teases a new Overwatch 2 x One-Punch Man collaboration that’s coming to the game in the near future.

Tank Hero Masks
Orisa
- Decreases knockback applied to you. Decreases debuff duration on you.
- Sojourn Only: Gain the ability to attach Disruptor Orb to allied Orisa.
Ramattra Mask
- Slow any nearby enemies by 30%.
- Zenyatta Only: Applying Orb of Discord to allied Ramattra in Nemesis Form also applies it to enemies near him. Does not cause allied Ramattra to take additional damage.
Reinhardt Mask
- Gain 50 armor. Increases melee damage.
- Brigitte Only: Increases Brigitte shield size and durability when they are in close proximity.
Roadhog Mask
- Gain the ability to heal yourself by 100 health every 30 seconds.
- Junkrat Only: Concussion Mine explosions douse enemies with gasoline. Any explosion damage within 10 seconds ignites them.
Winston Mask
- Melee damage now knocks enemies back.
- Tracer Only: Gain the ability to attach her Pulse Bomb to allied Winston. Either Winston or Tracer can detonate it.
Damage Hero Masks
Genji Mask
- Gain the ability to double jump.
- Hanzo Only: Any enemy hit by an allied Genji’s Swift Strike or Dragonblade is marked. Shots home toward marked enemies.
Hanzo Mask
- The farther the enemy, the more damage dealt to them.
- Genji Only: Gain the ability to activate Hanzo’s Dragonstrike during Dragonblade. Doing so will cancel the rest of Dragonblade.
Junkrat Mask
- Enemies explode on death.
- Roadhog Only: Chain Hook now explodes on impact. Detonating Junkrat’s Concussion Mines increases explosion damage and radius.
Mei Mask
- Increases damage against nearby enemies by 25%.
- Juno Only: Pulsar Torpedoes now freeze any target slowed by an allied Mei for 1.5 seconds.
Reaper Mask
- Dealing damage heals you.
- Moira Only: Gain the ability to attach Biotic Orb to Reaper when it is close to him.
Sojourn Mask
- Dealing critical damage generates 50% additional ultimate charge.
- Orisa Only: Energy Javelin now creates Sojourn’s Disruptor Orb on environmental impact.
Soldier: 76 Mask
- Increases your attack speed.
- Ana Only: Biotic Grenade creates Soldier: 76’s Biotic Field on impact.
Symmetra Mask
- Substitutes 50% of your health with shields.
- Lifeweaver Only: Petal Platform gains a barrier around it.
Torbjörn Mask
- Gain an additional ability that applies armor to you for 10 seconds.
- Mercy Only: While Caduceus Staff is equipped, gain the ability to apply Torbjörn’s Overload on allies.
Tracer Mask
- Increases movement speed.
- Winston Only: Gain the ability to Recall to Winston’s Barrier Projector.
Support Hero Masks
Ana Mask
- Reduce all incoming damage by 15%.
- Soldier: 76 Only: Gain an additional Biotic ability that while in use, prevents healing on enemies hit by Helix Rockets.
Brigitte Mask
- Dealing melee damage to enemies heals nearby allies.
- Reinhardt Only: When Inspired by allied Brigitte, Charge explodes on impact. Inspired status stacks up to 3 times, increasing explosion damage and radius.
Juno Mask
- Holding jump lets you hover midair.
- Mei Only: When Ice Wall comes into contact with Juno’s Orbital Ray, creates a Blizzard.
Lifeweaver Mask
- Deal additional damage while airborne or on Lifeweaver’s Petal Platform.
- Symmetra Only: Turrets can now also target allies, granting armor over time.
Mercy Mask
- Increases your base health by 20%.
- Torbjörn Only: Turret now applies toggleable healing or damage boost to allies within range.
Moira Mask
- Constantly regenerate health. Eliminations increase regen rate for 10 seconds.
- Reaper Only: Increases movement speed and jump height during Wraith Form.
Zenyatta Mask
- Applies a mini Orb of Harmony to you.
- Ramattra Only: Gain the ability to detonate allied Zenyatta’s Orbs of Discord. Their explosions damage nearby enemies and apply a temporary Orb of Discord to them.
- After using Overload, gain 2 Ammo of Molten Core with 66% reduced damage duration.
Swedish Sauna – Power
- Molten Core heals allied heroes within it for 50% of Molten Core Damage every 1s.
Come Get Yer Armor – Power
- After using Overload, throw 2 Armor Packs that grants Armor equal to 20% of your Max Life. Armor Packs do not stack.
Dwarlord – Power
- Overload grants all allies within 5m Overhealth equal to 50% of Overload Overhealth and 10% Attack Speed.
Let Off Some Steam – Power
- While Overload is not active, Weapon Damage and Weapon Healing reduces Overload Cooldown by 10%.
Riveting – Power
- Every 5th Rivet Gun shot shoots both your Primary Fire and Secondary Fire. The bonus shot deals 25% reduced damage.
Clocked – Power
- Turret damage marks enemies for 8s. Gain 20% Weapon Lifesteal and 15% increased Weapon Damage against marked enemies.
Forged in Fire – Power
- While Overload is active, every Forge Hammer swing explodes, dealing Forge Hammer damage equal to 10% of Max Life in a 3m radius.
Blacksmith – Power
- Using Forge Hammer on an Ally heals them for 66% of Forge Hammer damage.
Speedish Feetfalls – Rare Weapon Hero Item
- 25 Armor.
- 5% Attack Speed.
- Gain 15% Move Speed while holding Forge Hammer.
