A new book is on the way which will charter Oasis’ ‘Live ‘25’ reunion tour.
Titled OASIS LIVE ’25 OPUS, the book comes in collaboration with Opus, along with Liam and Noel Gallagher and photographer Simon Emmett, and looks back at the band’s first live shows together in 16 years.
Emmett captured the now-iconic portraits of the brothers back together and side-by-side for the first time to go with the announcement of the reunion last August. The photographer also joined the band for their tour dates, which kicked off in the UK over the summer and has seen them perform across the US and Mexico.
The shots will be compiled in the new book, which also features contributions from Liam and Noel, and looks to celebrate the live legacy of the Britpop giants.
“Being chosen to photograph the top-secret Oasis reunion portraits was a real honour,” Emmett said. “As the only photographer to document it from the very start through to the end of the tour, it’s been a truly unique and privileged experience and insight. The extraordinary mania and positivity has been intoxicating. Much more than a band reunion, it’s been a real cultural movement.”

A ‘Limited Marquee Edition’ of the Opus book, which measures at 62cm x 45cm, will be strictly limited to only 100 copies worldwide. Its 400 pages will be printed in ultra-high-
definition on silk paper and then hand-bound by master binders, and presented in a silk covered clamshell case.

There will also be other editions available: The ‘Midi’ and the ‘Retail’ edition. More details about the book, including the release date and the price, will be announced at a later date. You can visit here to sign up for more information.
The shots of Liam and Noel standing side-by-side were shared shortly after the Oasis reunion tour was announced at the end of summer 2024 and, taking to Instagram, Emmett said that he was “honoured to be asked to capture this moment”. A source also said that the “top secret” photoshoot saw the brothers in high spirits when they met.

Before the reunion, Emmett previously shot Liam for El Pais Icon magazine in 2019, and also worked with Noel for the cover of Esquire in 2015.
As well as the book documenting the ‘Live ‘25’ tour, there will also be a film charting the comeback on the way.
When the live shows kicked off in Cardiff this July, it was announced that Peaky Blinders director Steven Knight would be working as a producer on the reunion tour film, and that Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace – known for the LCD Soundsystem documentary Shut Up And Play The Hits – would be directing.
The documentary is said to contain behind the scenes glimpses at the meetings and rehearsal rooms that preceded the historic comeback, as well as some “phenomenal” footage of Liam and Noel’s landmark first meeting after getting the band back together.
Earlier this year, submissions were opened for Oasis fans to share their stories relating to the band’s music for the forthcoming film.
Over the past weekend, Oasis returned to the UK for two final shows at London’s Wembley Stadium – following on from the five gigs they played there earlier in the summer.
At the penultimate Wembley gig on Saturday (September 27), Liam teased further Oasis tour dates for 2026 amid rumours of another leg in the UK. “See you next year,” he told the audience, before repeating the comment the following evening.
There has been speculation over a return to London and a 30th anniversary concert at Knebworth, as well as some more homecoming shows in Manchester, but nothing has been confirmed at time of writing.
Oasis still have 2025 dates to come in South America, Australia, South Korea and Japan, and you can find out more about what went down at the final Wembley performance here.
In a glowing five-star review of the tour’s opening night in Cardiff, NME hailed it as “all you ever would have wanted from Oasis in 2025”.
