New Silent Hill F Trailer Features Doppelgangers, Creepy Fights, And English Voice Cast

A new Silent Hill F trailer debuted as a part of Gamescom Opening Night Live and features the game’s English cast for the first time. While exact narrative details remain cryptic, the trailer did give a concrete look at the game’s combat and showed a mysterious figure wearing a fox mask.

This young man seems to be a central in the game. The trailer opens with him declaring that protagonist Hinako “saved my life and laid claim to my soul. In turn, I shall save your soul by claiming the life of your old self.” What this means is up to interpretation. But the trailer does depict Hinako confronting what appears to be another version of herself.

Otherwise, although it shows new locations and details, this new look is similar to prior trailers, with Hinako wandering an abandoned village beset by horrific creatures. New tidbits include the man in the fox mask guiding Hinako with a blue lantern and Hinako returning home to find that it has changed, too.

The trailer offers a glimpse at the Silent Hill F’s combat, which is more agile-looking, but still deliberate in the way Silent Hill fans expect, as Hinako wields a polearm against a dancer-like enemy with a saber. Another foe–which appears to be writhing intestines (or doll parts?) on legs–screams and Hinako puts her head in her heads from the pain.

Suzie Yeung will play Hinako in the English voice dub. She in perhaps best known for her roles as Yuffie in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Makima in Chainsaw Man, and Sue Storm/Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals.
