As the arena experience changes for NBA fans across the country, NBA 2K26 is looking to bring that energy into every game played on its digital courts. Today, 2K and Visual Concepts announced a host of new features for NBA 2K26’s presentation package, including a few of the league’s most famous in-arena features–rubber chickens included.
Arena-specific features will be among the new presentation elements in this year’s NBA 2K game, with LA’s massive Wall for Clippers fans only and Detroit’s courtside mentioned as examples. Fans in certain arenas will wear LED bracelets that will light up during key moments, while others will have foam fingers, rally towels, and even rubber chickens that they’ll wave while sitting in the stands.

The announcement also mentions a new shader technology for each player on the court, which will make finer elements like stitching, the embroidery of names on jerseys, and muscle definition on players more noticeable. Meanwhile, the broadcast team will add Tim Legler to the booth alongside names like Kevin Harlan, Greg Anthony, and Stan Van Gundy, while newly recorded commentary specifically designed to match the intensity of a close fourth-quarter game will debut this year as well.
NBA 2K26 will feature league and Finals MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder on the cover of the standard edition, while Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky will serve as the WNBA Edition’s cover athlete. The Superstar Edition will honor Carmelo Anthony ahead of his induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame, while the top-of-the-line Leave No Doubt Edition features all three athletes at once.
NBA 2K26 is set to launch September 5 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Preorders for the standard and deluxe editions–including the premium Leave No Doubt Edition–are available now.
