Liam Gallagher has seemingly responded to reports that he “relented on his booze ban” for an afterparty marking the end of Oasis‘ UK tour.
The band played two final shows at London’s Wembley Stadium last Saturday and Sunday (September 27, 28). These followed an initial five-night residency at the venue over the summer as part of the UK and Ireland leg of their Live ’25 reunion tour.

It has since been reported that Liam joined his brother Noel and other bandmates at an afterparty in the capital on Saturday night, per the Daily Mail. The outlet claims that the singer “relented on his booze ban” to toast to the band’s success.
According to the report, this marked the first time the formerly estranged Liam and Noel had partied together in years. The brothers’ mother, Peggy, was also said to have been in attendance.
A source said: “Liam joined the afterparty for about an hour on Saturday night. Everyone raised a glass to the amazing tour.”
LG has remained alcohol-free throughout the huge comeback tour. When performing in Dublin last month, the frontman told the crowd that he was the “soberest” he’s been in Ireland since he was a child.

At the end of another recent show, Liam explained: “It’s time for me to go to bed, ’cause I’m a little princess these days.”
LG is then said to have skipped Noel’s afterparty at London’s Chiltern Firehouse on Sunday, in favour of “a low-key celebration with Debbie [Gwyther, fiancé]”, according to The Mirror: “They’re planning an early-ish night because he can’t afford to get ill or for his voice to be damaged.”
The frontman has since appeared to have addressed the reports, writing on X/Twitter: “BODY IS A TEMPLE.” In a follow-up post, Liam told his followers that he was “still free from all temptation” – seemingly denying the claim that he drank alcohol at the afterparty.

Richard Ashcroft, who opened for Oasis in the UK and Ireland this year, recently revealed that he had “only seen Liam on stage” at the dates, with the frontman avoiding any post-show gatherings or parties. “I’ve got so much respect for that because every night is an opportunity to sort of celebrate in a way, but the guy has been so disciplined on this,” he said.
“I think the fans respect that, they can hear that, they can feel that. Whatever he’s doing, whatever his method is, is working, and I’ve got 100 per cent respect for him.”
Liam has also been pictured heading out of the venues separately by car, immediately after the concerts finished.
He reportedly missed a wrap party that the band and crew held in a Dublin pub last month (as per Far Out), keeping a distance from any activity that could negatively impact his vocal performance at future shows.
In 2022, LG admitted to drinking “half a bottle of brandy” before going on stage at his solo concerts. However, he said he later “chilled out” on the habit as he didn’t want to become “dependent on going on stage with alcohol”. Liam has since quit drinking alcohol when on tour.
At the penultimate Wembley gig last weekend, Liam teased further Oasis tour dates for 2026 amid ongoing rumours of another leg in the UK. “See you next year,” he told the audience, before repeating the comment the following evening. There has been speculation over a return to London and a 30th anniversary concert at Knebworth, as well as some more homecoming shows in Manchester.

Before that, however, Oasis are scheduled to take Live ’25 to South America, Australia, South Korea and Japan.
In a glowing five-star review of the tour’s opening night in Cardiff, NME noted that “Liam’s voice hasn’t sounded this good in 20-odd years – three-dimensional between the punky bile of that skyward ‘TAKE ME THERE‘ in ‘Slide Away’ and the heartfelt call for brotherhood in ‘Stand By Me’”.

Oasis have shared some official live versions of songs from different cities on the Live ’25 tour. So far we’ve had ‘Slide Away’ from Cardiff, ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ from Manchester, ‘Little By Little’ from London, ‘Bring It On Down’ from Edinburgh and ‘Wonderwall’ from Dublin.
Meanwhile, the band are set to release a 30th anniversary edition of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ on Friday (October 3). They dropped an “unplugged” version of the song ‘Morning Glory’ from the collection last week. Additionally, Oasis have just announced some 25th anniversary editions of their classic Wembley live album ‘Familiar To Millions’.
In other news, it’s been reported that the upcoming Oasis documentary – produced by Peaky Blinders director Steven Knight – will include some “phenomenal” footage of Liam and Noel’s landmark first meeting after getting the band back together.
