Kim Kardashian’s new legal drama ‘All’s Fair’ slammed by critics with 0 per cent Rotten Tomatoes score: “Crime against television”

Ryan Murphy’s new legal drama All’s Fair, starring Kim Kardashian, has been slammed by critics and sits at 0 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes.

The first three episodes of the Hulu series were released yesterday (November 4), seeing Kardashian play divorce lawyer Allura Grant, the owner of a firm staffed entirely by women and representing only female clients, alongside the likes of Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash-Betts, Glenn Close and Teyana Taylor.

Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, are executive producers on the show. She said that her character was inspired by celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, her own attorney for her divorces from Kanye West and Kris Humphries.

Reviews so far, however, have been overwhelmingly negative, with critics from The Guardian and The Times giving it 0 stars out of five and the show holding a rare 0 per cent rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. On Metacritic, it has a score of 18, representing “overwhelming dislike”.

The Telegraph described it as a “crime against television,” while The Hollywood Reporter described Kardashian’s performance as “stiff and affectless without a single authentic note”.

While critics are almost unanimous in their dislike, however, fans appear more divided. On X (Twitter), one described it as “gloriously silly,” while another said, “It’s a very fun show to watch because it’s over-the-top and bad without apprehension, and that’s fantastic.”

Another joked, “All’s Fair on Hulu dares to ask the question ‘Does a show need to be good?’ and the answer is no, it doesn’t. We have legendary actresses here giving the worst performances of their careers, it takes a special kind of talent to pull that kind of inability out of them. Amazeballs.”

Kardashian, who revealed a brain aneurysm diagnosis last month, previously worked with writer Murphy on American Horror Story: Delicate, which received much more favourable reviews – it has a score of 77 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes and a fan at the time described her performance as “shockingly great”.

There are another six episodes of All’s Fair still to air, meanwhile, with the next one coming on November 11. A new episode will then come out weekly until December 9, when the final two will be released together. Viewers in the UK can watch on Disney+.
