Police tell TMZ Sports wrestling great Hulk Hogan’s July 24 death is still under investigation.
The Clearwater Police Department told the outlet in a statement, “We have been in communication with family members — including his son, Nick, and daughter, Brooke. The unique nature of this case has required us to interview multiple witnesses and seek medical records from a variety of providers, and our detectives continue to do that. All of this takes time.”
The department added, “The Hogan family has been appreciative of our efforts and our communication with them.”
The news comes after Hulk’s widow Sky Daily confirmed to TMZ that the wrestler’s phrenic nerve was “compromised” during a recent surgery.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, “The phrenic nerve plays a key role in breathing (respiration). It makes your diaphragm contract and expand, letting your lungs inhale and exhale air.”
Daily also revealed that an autopsy has been performed, and that Hogan’s body has not been cremated yet.
The news comes after Hulk’s daughter Brooke spoke out on Instagram Stories, saying, “I’ve 100% gotten legit calls from professionals- from police officials to nurses that were supposedly with my dad on the day of his death telling ME I need to see body cam footage and I need to get a hold of the 911 tapes because they supposedly contain information that could potentially shed enough light to change the narrative we/I/everyone’s been hearing.”

Hogan went on, “Those same professionals feel so passionately about what they witnessed, they have continued to contact me and push me to find specific answers to this very day. They are quite literally putting their careers at risk because they feel so compelled to do the right thing.”
Brooke explained that ultimately, when it comes to getting answers, it is up to Hulk’s widow Sky Daily, adding, “I have zero control.”
Brooke acknowledged, “At the end of the day, answers would be great, but none of it brings my dad back.”
Weeks ago, the New York Post reported Hogan died of a heart attack and also had a history of atrial fibrillation and leukemia CLL, citing the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center. His cause of death was ruled natural.
