Battlefield 6, or whatever the game may be called, will be announced on July 31, according to a new report. Insider Gaming reported that EA and DICE plan to reveal the game on that day as part of an event likened to COD Next, which is Activision’s annual announcement event for the Call of Duty series.
The report added that EA and DICE are inviting people to a behind-closed-doors event to play the new Battlefield game beginning July 29, with the event culminating in the global reveal on July 31. People can expect to see gameplay footage and hear directly from developers, the report said.
Insider Gaming also reported that some influencers are being sent care packages pointing to an upcoming announcement. The post referenced above has since been deleted, but Insider-Gaming said it’s legitimate.
Officially speaking, EA has said it will officially announce the new Battlefield game sometime this summer. Fans theorized it might happen in June alongside the industry’s other major gaming events, and when that didn’t happen, an EA boss assured fans a reveal was still coming sometime later.
GameSpot has contacted EA in an attempt to get more details on the reveal plans for the next Battlefield.
EA is currently allowing some people to play Battlefield 6 through a limited closed alpha test. An open beta for the game may be in the works and could be announced during the reported July 31 event, but nothing is confirmed at this stage.
EA has confirmed that Battlefield 6 will be released by the end of March 2026. With GTA 6 now delayed to May 2026, many are theorizing that EA will release the game this year instead of next.
