Babyshambles played their first show in over a decade last night. Check out footage and the full setlist below.

The indie band played their first live show together since 2014 last night (Wednesday November 5), taking to the stage at the White Rock Studios in Hastings for the first of their 2025 tour dates.

It came following a brief on stage comeback at a Pete Doherty solo gig in 2024, and a few of the members getting together to play some classics in Watford over the spring.

While on stage, the current line-up – Pete Doherty, guitarist Mick Whitnall, bassist Drew McConnell and drummer Adam Ficek – broke out a stacked setlist of classic tracks and deep-cuts.

The setlist on the night was vastly different compared to that shared by Doherty and co. on Instagram.

According to a spokesperson for the band, the show kicked off with ‘Pipedown’, before launching into tracks like ‘Killamangiro’, ‘Delivery’, ‘À rebours’, ‘The Man Who Came to Stay’, and ‘Baddie’s Boogie’. Rarities that were played on the night included the 2008 song ‘The Blinding’, which hadn’t been played live since 2013.

Other highlights of the night included a rendition of ‘My Darling Clementine’ – a B-side from the band’s’ 2005 single ‘Albion’ – which hadn’t been performed live since 2005, and another deep cut from their 2005 album ‘Down In Albion’: ‘Merry Go Round’, which was played for the first time since 2006.

Tracks played, like fan-favourites ‘Fuck Forever’, ‘Crumb Begging Baghead’, ‘Side Of The Road’, and ‘UnBiloTitled’, are noticeably absent from the image the band shared, although they did play the written down songs ‘8 Dead Boys’, ‘Unstookietitled’, and new single ‘Dandy Hooligan’.

Their image of the setlist also sees ‘Delivery’, ‘Pipedown’, and ‘My Darling Clementine’ scribbled out – seemingly indicating that they mixed up the setlist from that written down when they took to the stage.

Check out what a spokesperson said the setlist for Hastings was below, along with footage from the night.

Speaking to NME recently about their return, Doherty explained that the Babyshambles reunion only became possible once he and Whitnall had both been clean for a number of years. He also revealed that original guitarist Patrick Walden – who passed away in June – was meant to be involved in the comeback.

The singer-songwriter said Walden’s death was “a real trigger to get it done”. “My first thought was of just seeing his face up there while we’re playing and that’ll be an important part of it,” he continued.

“There was always talk about it; there was always a desire to play those songs again,” Doherty told NME, “but the centrifugal point of it was addiction really, and the danger that me and Mick would be an unhealthy influence on each other. So it was people around us not wanting to meet up and probably us both knowing that it wasn’t a good idea.”

Babyshambles’ debut album was 2005’s ‘Down In Albion’, and was followed with two further studio albums: 2007’s ‘Shotter’s Nation’ and 2013’s ‘Sequel To The Prequel’. The band shared their first new single in 12 years, ‘Dandy Hooligan’, yesterday (Wednesday November 5).
