Coming Home will give fans a look into “the lives of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne as they plan their dream of moving back to the UK”, and chart the final years of Ozzy’s life. The doc follows the late icon’s journey to getting fit enough to perform at his huge farewell show with Black Sabbath this summer.

The BBC has now shared the trailer for Coming Home, which begins with Ozzy and Sharon travelling in the back of a car. “I’m so looking forward to an English summer,” says the Prince Of Darkness in an interview segment.

Sharon then explains that the couple had “always referred to this as home”, speaking about their mansion in Buckinghamshire. “It looks magnificent, Sharon,” Ozzy says as they pull up to the property.

We later hear from Ozzy’s daughter Kelly, before his wife tells the camera: “I always, always told Ozzy, ‘When you’re 70, we say goodbye’.” He then says: “I can’t wait till I’m there.”

Sharon continues: “We’re quite normal. We’re quite boring, really, when it comes down to it.” Ozzy interjects: “I wouldn’t say we’re fucking normal.” The singer then tells a story about making “some marijuana cake”, adding: “I went to the pub, and the vicar come round and ate some of the cake.”

When asked by Sharon if he wanted “a quiet life” in his older years, Ozzy replied: “No… Yes, but no.” Kelly then tells viewers: “I don’t think it’s possible for either one of them to retire, ever.”

Ozzy says “this is my home”, and explains that he is looking forward to “doing absolutely nothing” after retiring. Sharon, meanwhile, opens up about him still being “very romantic” in their marriage.

The documentary was initially set to air in August, but was pulled from the TV schedule at the last minute due to “the family’s wishes to wait a bit longer”. The new release date was then confirmed last month.

Ozzy died on July 22, aged 76. His death came just 17 days after he played his final-ever live shows at Birmingham’s Villa Park.

The artist’s death certificate confirmed his cause of death to be a heart attack, while also mentioning that he was suffering from coronary heart disease and Parkinson’s. The document listed his occupation as “Songwriter, Performer and Rock Legend”.

Another forthcoming new documentary, No Escape From Now, will detail the Prince Of Darkness’ final six years.

Earlier this month, Sharon Osbourne thanked fans for their “overwhelming love and support” and said she was “still finding my footing” following her husband’s passing. Ozzy’s son Jack had previously shared a “personal note” about his father in a video on his YouTube channel, while Kelly explained how she had found her “smile again” amid the “sadness and grief”.

In other news, Judas Priest have released their cover of Black Sabbath‘s ‘War Pigs’ with Ozzy Osbourne for charity.
