Grand Theft Auto 6 fans believe a new trailer for the long-awaited sequel will drop next month, two years after the first teaser was shared.
Grand Theft Auto 6 was officially unveiled at the end of 2023 with Trailer One, which was soundtracked by Tom Petty‘s ‘Love Is A Long Road’ and gave fans their first glimpse at the game. The clip quickly racked up millions of views while ‘Love Is A Long Road’ had a huge boost on streaming.
A more in-depth trailer was shared in May, alongside the news that Grand Theft Auto 6 would be delayed from Late 2025 to May 26, 2026. To apologise for the delay, developers Rockstar shared an “unprecedented” amount of information about the game, including character, map and plot details.
However since then, the studio has once again gone quiet with some fans worried Grand Theft Auto 6 may be delayed again. More optimistic fans are convinced Trailer Three will be released next month. Not only is November 8 the two-year anniversary of Trailer One but eagle-eyed fans have noticed Jason (one of the game’s dual protagonists) is wearing a watch in Trailer Two that reads 11:08, aka November 8.
Rockstar Games might’ve teased GTA 6 Trailer 3’s date, as Jason’s digital watch shows a specific number “11:08” which points to November 8.

Other fans aren’t convinced though after various other theories proved to be false.
“Honestly, why are we still speculating about Trailer Three’s release date? If anything, Trailer Two proved that Rockstar is gonna release it whenever they want. Just live your life and enjoy it when it drops,” wrote one fan. “How unemployed do people have to be to find this kind of stuff,” said another.

“Some people are a little much but realistically there’s only been two trailers. Breaking down scene by scene to get a glimpse of what we’ve all waited 13 years for isn’t that bad. They don’t release even a quarter of info compared to what all other game companies release prior to launch. People are curious. And even for someone like me that’s an adult with a family… so am I,” added another fan, defending the speculation.
“They should just do it just to confirm all the crackpot theories so that these people all think they’re right and keep creating these theories so Rockstar can then keep trolling them,” said one fan on Reddit.
Last month, former Rockstar employee Obbe Vermeij dismissed GTA6 delay rumours as “clout chasing” while Strauss Zelnick, the boss of publisher Take Two, said he was sure the game wouldn’t be delayed again.
Last month, the design director of Saints Row reignited the debate about the price Grand Theft Auto 6 will be sold for, claiming the game “deserves” to cost fans $100.
In other news, it looks like Lana Del Rey may have written the theme song for upcoming James Bond video game 007: First Light.
