George Clooney has revealed that Ocean’s 14 is likely to begin shooting in 2026, with Brad Pitt and Matt Damon likely joining him for the sequel.
2001’s Ocean’s 11, a remake of a 1960 comedy starring Frank Sinatra and The Rat Pack, was one of Clooney’s biggest box office hits. The Oscar winner starred alongside Pitt and Damon as a group of con artists who orchestrate an elaborate heist on a Las Vegas casino.
The film spawned two sequels in 2004 and 2007, as well as an all-female spin-off, 2018’s Ocean’s 8. Interestingly, Clooney’s character, Danny Ocean, is believed to be dead in the latter film, meaning a surprising return may be on the cards.
Speaking to E!, Clooney was asked about a potential fourth film in the original franchise, to which the actor replied: “Yeah, we just got it. We just got the budget approved at Warner Brothers, and we’re trying to set up. It’s just scheduling, so it’s just setting a start date for us, probably starting about nine or ten months.”

When asked if he was excited to work with Pitt again, he said he was, as well as Ocean’s castmates Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, and Julia Roberts. “Yeah, Brad, Matt, and Don, and Julia. I had dinner last night with Julia” he said. “They’re all still really dear friends, and so the chance to work together will be fun.”
The new film, rumoured to be titled Ocean’s 14, would be the first film in the original franchise since 2007’s Ocean’s 13. Clooney will next be seen in comedy Jay Kelly, opposite Adam Sandler. NME’s Matthew Turner described the film as “easily one of the Hollywood heavyweight’s most enjoyable performances to date.”
