Gamers can’t get enough of Pedro Pascal playing ‘Marvel Rivals’

Videos of Pedro Pascal playing as Mr Fantastic in hero shooter video game Marvel Rivals have gone viral.

Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 multiplayer shooter that sees teams of comic book heros and villains team up to destroy each other. The game launched last year and has remained hugely popular thanks to a constant stream of new characters to play as.

As part of its bumper season one, The Fantastic Four were added to the game and during the promo trail for Marvel’s latest blockbuster The Fantastic Four: First Steps, YouTuber Loserfruit sat down with Vanessa Kirby (The Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (The Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing) and Pascal to play Marvel Rivals.

Kirby went on to reveal that she loves The Sims while Moss-Bachrach enjoys backgammon. “I like mind games,” added Pascal before explaining that he never “graduated past the first Nintendo”.

After Moss-Bachrach got to grips with The Thing, the controller was passed to Pedro Pascal, who said “I don’t think I should play. This is going to be sad as hell.”

“This is very difficult, how do kids learn how to do this,” he added as he got to grips with Mr Fantastic’s ‘Ultimate Ability’. “Are there console classes one can take? I think [Marvel Rivals] is beautiful. I’m literally going to retire and learn how to game,” Pascal continued. “I think you’ve introduced a very dangerous chapter into my future.”

“I’m actually in tears. Take the controller from him right now,” wrote one fan sharing a clip of the interview. “Him being bad at video games will always be my favorite,” added another. “Get Pedro on Twitch NOW,” wrote a third.

Before the release of HBO’s The Last Of Us, Pedro Pascal revealed that showrunner Craig Mazin asked him not to play the hit video game. He ignored him but didn’t get very far. “My nephews were watching me play and eventually got tired of my inability to complete the level, so they took my controller from me,” he said in an interview with IGN.

In other news, Microsoft has confirmed another huge title is set to join Xbox Game Pass later this year.
