‘Game Of Thrones’ star is a “nepo daddy” thanks to horror game

Game Of Thrones star Liam Cunningham has called himself the first “nepo daddy” thanks to a starring role in his son’s new horror video game ‘Eyes Of Hellfire’

Liam Cunningham is best known for starring as Davos Seaworth in seven of Game Of Thrones’ eight seasons. However in a new interview with Variety, the Irish actor has claimed he’s now a “nepo daddy” thanks to his son, Len.

Len Cunningham is lead designer and narrative designer at Dublin-based indie video game studio, Gambrinous. Last month, they teamed up with horror giants Blumhouse to release Eyes Of Hellfire into Early Access.

“Each player harbours a hidden curse, twisting their abilities and motives, as they explore the ever-shifting rooms of the lodge. With a dynamic card-management system that changes turn by turn, you’ll need to strategise carefully, share discoveries, and combine your strengths to solve cryptic puzzles, uncover unsettling lore, and survive the escalating threats that roam the manor,” reads an official description, with Liam voicing the villainous Host who manipulates reality.

“I’m officially — I think I may be the world’s first one; I’m claiming it — I’m the nepo daddy,” Liam said. “I have to say I’m very cutthroat when it comes to work. You’ve seen the sort of stuff that I do. I’m fussy. I turn down 90 per cent of the stuff that I’m offered, and I’m very lucky to be offered this stuff, but I only lend myself to stuff I think I can bring something to or that, if I’m involved, the finished article will be worth looking at.

“And when [Eyes Of Hellfire] was presented to me, it was one of those things where I couldn’t say no. He’s a fun character. He’s really annoying. And I like that kind of character you love to hate. And he’s this kind of Machiavellian figure that hovers over people and kind of enjoys their misery, and that’s fun. So you gotta go with that. You can’t turn down an opportunity like that.”

Eyes Of Hellfire currently has a “very positive” review score on Steam. “As an avid tabletop gamer who has played many of the games that inspired this one, I can see the vision. I honestly adore the vision. It is attempting to do something very unique, and I am excited to see where it goes,” wrote one fan.

Earlier this year, a new Game Of Thrones game was announced that will let you change the show’s controversial ending. The “brutal” epic real-time-strategy War For Westeros is due to launch next year.

In other news, Dwayne Johnson has revealed his favourite video game of all time is Donkey Kong but he couldn’t care less about the 44 years of sequels and spin-offs.
