Game Music Festival confirms 2026 London concerts

It’s been confirmed the Game Music Festival will return to London next year for a month-long celebration of video game music.

The Game Music Festival 2026 will take over London’s Fairfield Halls and Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall to “celebrate the art of video game music”.

As part of the event, five live concerts will take place featuring the music of Diablo, Hades and Persona. “The team behind Game Music Festival specialises in organising exquisite monographic concerts, focused on presenting a selected game franchise, or a particular composer’s works, in a coherent manner. There are no visualisations during the show, and electronic sound amplification is avoided unless technically necessary,” reads a press release, with the concerts described as a “slow listening experience”.

Kicking off on June 6, ‘The Infernal Symphony’ will showcase three decades of Diablo soundtracks performed by Marek Wroniszewski, the London Mozart Players orchestra and the Hertfordshire Chorus.

Later in the month ‘Ballads Of The Underworld’, a symphonic concert dedicated to the music of Hades and Hades 2, will take place. “A pantheon of original vocalists – Darren Korb, Ashley Barrett, and special guests – will join the stage together with the London Mozart Players orchestra led by Grammy-nominated and BAFTA-winning conductor Austin Wintory, to brew a truly bewitching performance.” The Game Music Festival will conclude on June 27 with the ‘Persona Grooves’ concert, which will see the Bartosz Pernal jazz orchestra perform tracks from Persona 3, 4 and 5 with composer Shoji Meguro confirmed to take to the stage as a special guest.

An educational programme with “special guests” will also run throughout June as part of London’s Game Music Festival, offering masterclass workshops, panel discussions and various educational sessions that will allow participants to meet industry professionals involved in contemporary game music production.

Earlier this month it was confirmed the music of Kingdom Come: Deliverance and its 2024 sequel will be performed in Poland as part of the Game Music Festival. ‘The Symphony Of The Sword’ concert will see composer Jan Valta joined by the renowned NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, as well as the Medici Cantantes choir.
