Fortnite has temporarily banned the Peacemaker emote Peaceful Hips following the latest episode of the DC show.
The first season of The Suicide Squad spin-off Peacemaker aired in 2022 and saw John Cena’s antihero out to save the world from an alien invasion. The opening credits featured Cena and the rest of the cast performing a cheesy dance routine to ‘Do Ya Wanna Taste It’ by Wig Wam.
The second season launched earlier this year with the opening credits now soundtracked by Foxy Shazam’s ‘Oh Lord’. Part of the new dance routine was used for a Fortnite emote known as Peaceful Hips.

However, following a big reveal that came as part of Peacemaker season two episode six, Epic Games have temporarily banned the emote.
In the latest episode (spoilers incoming), Peacemaker discovers that the alternate dimension he’s been visiting is actually a version of America that lost World War Two to Adolf Hitler’s Nazi party, and the stars on the American flag have been replaced with a swastika.
“We’re disabling the Peaceful Hips Emote in Fortnite as we inquire into our partner’s creative intentions in this collab emote,” Epic Games wrote on social media shortly after the episode aired.. “Assuming it’s not coming back, we’ll issue refunds in the next few days. Sorry folks.”

Following the ban, some fans have pointed out the similarities between Peacemaker’s dance and an anti-Nazi cartoon starring Donald Duck.

Earlier this year, creator James Gunn revealed a new dance routine was the only thing he was nervous about for season two. “You can’t one-up the first season because, truth is, people didn’t know a dance scene was coming. So they watched that first episode of Peacemaker, and all of a sudden there’s a dance sequence and people are like, ‘What is going on? This is the most insane thing I’ve ever seen.’ You can never recapture that,” he told GamesRadar+.
“I have to recapture that within the episodes themselves. And I think the way we capture that is with the emotional depth of the season, and the romance and all of that.”
Earlier this month, Fortnite quietly banned several NSFW emote combinations shortly after online platform Roblox was taken to court by a top prosecutor from the state of Louisiana over alleged child safety concerns.
In other news, the team behind the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 orchestral concert have confirmed the show will be touring internationally next year.
