Chad Powers is the new sports comedy from Glen Powell, but what songs are on the soundtrack? Find out below.
The Top Gun: Maverick and Twisters star has created the show alongside Rick And Morty and Loki writer Michael Waldron, and it sees Powell play the titular character, a former college quarterback whose reputation is ruined after he disgraces himself on the field. After a physical transformation, Powers disguises his identity and joins a floundering football team at a small school.
The show has been developed from a skit by NFL legend Eli Manning, who also serves as an executive producer alongside his brother Peyton.
The six-episode run launched on Tuesday (September 30), with the first two episodes dropping on Hulu in the US and Disney+ in the UK. Remaining episodes will premiere weekly, with the finale arriving on October 28. Watch the trailer below.
Powell is also set to star in Edgar Wright’s new film The Running Man, an adaptation of the Stephen King novel that was also made into a film in 1987 starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. He plays Ben Richards, a father who is convinced to take part in a TV game show in which he is hunted by professional assassins as he chases a cash prize. It is in cinemas from November 7.
The actor also recently shot down the idea that he could be the next James Bond, saying that producers should “get an authentic Brit for that job”.
