The couple first tied the knot back in July with a ceremony at Hackney Town Hall in what appeared to be an intimate ceremony. Charli later shared a video from that day, showing off her Vivienne Westwood wedding dress – which she paired with some ‘Brat’-inspired sunglasses – while joking that she would have left Daniel at the aisle if he didn’t cry at the sight of her.

Now, the couple have tied the knot once again at Tonnara Di Scopello in the village of Scopello, Sicily, and reportedly walked down the aisle to ‘Hero’ by Enrique Iglesias.

Daniel’s bandmates Matty Healy, Ross MacDonald and Adam Hann were among those in attendance, as were friends of the couple, including Troye Sivan, Shygirl, Clairo, Richie Shazam, Beabadoobee, Amelia Dimoldenberg and Healy’s mother Denise Welch, according to JustJared.

Charli first got to know George Daniel in 2021, when they teamed up to record the track ‘Spinning’. They later went on to confirm their romance on social media in 2022, going on to share news of their engagement in November 2023.

After the announcement of their engagement, Charli shared that the song ‘Talk Talk’, which featured on ‘Brat’, was written about an encounter with Daniel at the 2020 NME Awards.

“We were both looking over at each other – it was very like, one of us would look and the other one would look away, and then just vice versa,” she said.

“In the song, I say, ‘I followed you to the bathroom and I felt crazy’. I did actually do that! I saw that he went to the bathroom, so I was like, ‘Oh, I’ll go to the bathroom and maybe we’ll bump into each other and then we won’t be like texting all the time’… But then I got halfway there and I was like, this is insane, and then I went and sat down again.”

That night, Charli was nominated for Best Solo Act In The World, Best British Solo Act and Best Collaboration at the awards. She also presented the Songwriter Of The Decade Award to Robyn that night, alongside Christine And The Queens.

George Daniel was there as The 1975 picked up the Band Of The Decade Award, as well as Best British Band and the NME Innovation Award.

Recently, it was revealed that Charli’s wedding guest Clairo was also considered for her role in her upcoming independent film Erupcja.

The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month (September 4). No general release has been announced.

Charli is also starring in 100 Nights Of Hero, adapted from a graphic novel by Isabel Greenberg, and is also set to star in the adventure-comedy Sacrifice alongside Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Evans.

Charli has also proven herself to be an avid film fan too, making regular recommendations via TikTok, leaving reviews on Letterboxd, and pitching an It Girl edition of the Final Destination franchise. She also recently shared a scene from her upcoming mockumentary film, The Moment.
