Camila Cabello seemingly performed at the wedding of a fan who she met the night before. Check out footage of the moment below.
The moment took place this past weekend, when the singer was in Iowa and met a fan while sitting in a hotel bar.
As reported by various outlets including Stereogum, the bride, Kelli Murray, told the singer that she was a big fan of her music, and was even planning on playing her song ‘The First Man’ at her upcoming wedding.
The song in question is a ballad from Cabello that she wrote about her father, and is a go-to choice for father/daughter dances at weddings.
Coincidentally, the wedding happened to be taking place the day after she met Cabello in the bar, and the singer offered to attend the wedding and give a live rendition of the track at the event.
@mamamamamamidwest This doesn’t happen!!! Camila Cabello met my cousin Kelli at a hotel bar and then came to her Iowa wedding the next day to sing her father daughter dance. She was such a kind human and helped make pure magic last night. Congratulations to Kelli and Michael!!! What a moment #camilacabello #wedding #fatherdaughter #firstman @Camila Cabello @kelli_murray

The next day, footage was shared of Cabello wearing a formal black dress and attending the wedding. Before delivering the rendition of the song, she spoke to the attendees about what unfolded the night before.

“We were at a hotel yesterday, and I run into Kelli and her family, and she was like ‘Guess what, I’m doing my father/daughter dance to your song ‘The First Man’,’” she shared. “I got to meet Kelli, her family, her amazing dad Mike… we planned this and it was a little last minute thing that we put together.
“I’m really honoured to be a part of this moment for you, Kelli.”
It isn’t yet clear why Cabello was in Des Moines, nor exactly how the conversation between her and Kelli started. Check out more footage from the moment below.

Cabello’s latest album, ‘C,XOXO’, arrived in 2024 and was given a three-star review by NME.
“Whether you think Cabello is ‘that girl’ or not, there’s no denying that ‘C,XOXO’ is packed with quirky earworms: she even blends emo and reggaeton on the brilliant, melancholy club banger ‘Pretty When I Cry’,” it read.
“Some of 2024’s most anticipated pop albums have sunk pretty fast after hyped roll-outs; this one deserves to keep bubbling to the surface for months to come.”
As for her previous group, Fifth Harmony, the members made a surprising return (without Cabello) at a recent Jonas Brothers concert earlier this month – putting an end to their seven-year hiatus.
The group, who went on indefinite hiatus in 2018, now consists of Ally Brooke, Normani, Lauren Jauregui and Dinah Jane. Cabello left the line-up in 2016.
