Britney Spears has claimed she adopted a “beautiful baby girl” in a confusing Instagram post.

On Sunday (July 13), Spears took to social media to make the announcement in the caption of a video showing her dancing. “I want to let you guys know I adopted a beautiful baby girl,” she wrote. “Her name is Lennon London Spears”.
She added that “Lennon today has on adorable dress”, which says “I’m NEW HERE !!! SO PLEASE STOP TALKING TRASH AMERICA !!!”. Spears concluded her post by revealing she had “decided to move to Italy”.
Sources have since told TMZ that Spears had not, in fact, adopted a child – the winking emojis in her post was indication that the singer was just joking. They also told the publication she was not moving to Italy, either.
They also added that though fans had correctly spotted baby carriers in the background of a recent post by Spears, the singer used them to carry her baby dolls.
The popstar recently had to apologise after lighting a cigarette on a plane.

She recounted the “incredibly funny” moment on Instagram, adding: “Some planes I’ve been on you can’t smoke mostly but this one was different because the drink holders were on [the] outside of [the] seat.”
Upon drinking vodka for the first time, Spears then wrote she wanted to smoke, adding that her friend then placed one in her mouth and lit it. “I was like OH SO THIS IS A PLANE WHERE YOU CAN SMOKE !!!,” she wrote.
According to TMZ, flight attendants were “alarmed and ordered her to put out the cigarette”. Authorities later issued a warning to the pop star once her private jet landed in LAX.
Meanwhile, earlier this year Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown reiterated her desire to portray Spears on screen – but said it was not her story to tell.
