Jisoo of BLACKPINK has announced an upcoming duet, seemingly titled ‘Eyes Closed’ – find out more below.

A release date for the track has yet to be announced, nor has the artist she will be teaming up with for the duet.

However, fans believe from the teaser image and from information they’ve found online that the track will see Jisoo partner with former One Direction member Zayn Malik. Upon a quick Google search, fans have pieced together that Jisoo has enlisted Zayn for ‘Eyes Closed’.

Zayn has also alluded to new music coming out “soon with another cool collaborator”, fuelling fans’ speculation that he’s teaming up with the BLACKPINK member. The rumours also come after the former One Direction star took his daughter to BLACKPINK’s New York gig back in July.

Neither Zayn nor Jisoo have confirmed the collaboration. ‘Eyes Closed’ will serve as Jisoo’s first new material outside of BLACKPINK since releasing her ‘Amortage’ mini-album earlier this February.

‘Amortage’ scored a four-star review from NME upon its release earlier this year, with Crystal Bell writing: “There’s always been an enigmatic quality to Jisoo, a sense that she keeps something just out of reach. On ‘Amortage’, she steps forward, but never too close, embracing pop’s timeless pleasures – melody, emotion and a touch of mischief – with quiet self-assurance. It’s not a reinvention, nor does it need to be. Instead, ‘Amortage’ plays to Jisoo’s strengths, proving that evolution doesn’t always have to be explosive to shake things up.”
