The official show schedule for Tokyo Game Show 2025 has been announced, and it was quickly noticed that EA is hosting an event of its own to reveal more about Battlefield 6’s campaign.
A presentation on September 26 at 1 PM local time in Tokyo (midnight EST) will include a new look at Battlefield 6’s single-player campaign, featuring lead developers Philippe Ducharme and Roman Campos-Oriola, along with the game’s English voice actors. This is according to Gematsu.
Much of the focus of Battlefield 6 so far has been on the multiplayer element, so fans are eager to learn more about the campaign. EA Motive is developing the campaign, which takes inspiration from the war movie Civil War and the Taylor Sheridan drama Lioness.
A Battlefield 6 trailer (above) spotlights the game’s campaign, opening with the President of the US speaking to the American people about a “monstrous, unprovoked attack” and how “no country is safe.” The trailer shows off a variety of locations around the world, including New York City.
Campos-Oriola said a guiding theme for the Battlefield 6 campaign is exploring the concept of “talented but ordinary people put in extraordinary situations.”
“That creates a very interesting dynamic in terms of relationships with other people. These are elements we’re looking to capture in the single player,” the developer said.
EA Motive previously developed the 2023 Dead Space remake, and Ducharme said that game is “obviously very different” from Battlefield. However, the Ducharme said the idea was to explore the “curve of tension” of the “highs and the lows to keep players hooked.”
Battlefield 6 launches on October 10 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. While you can’t play Battlefield 6 yet, you can earn rewards for it by playing Battlefield 2042 right now.
