Battlefield 6’s open beta is available now in early access and while a lot of the sentiment thus far has been positive, the game is experiencing some issues that Battlefield Studios is aware of.
The studio has now published a list of known issues for Battlefield 6, but before getting into the specifics, the developer said fans should understand that a beta, by definition, is an unfinished product and was always expected to have issues.
As for the specific issues that Battlefield Studios is aware of, the developer said it knows players may be unable to ping enemies when using stationary weapons. Additionally, the animations for when characters attach to a zipline are bugged. Beyond that, the aim assist feature when players are close to smoke is a work in progress, the studio said. Another known issue is that players can sink into the ground after reviving a teammate.
Battlefield Studios added that it’s aware of weapon-balancing issues specific to recoil. The studio said it knew about these issues for some time but wasn’t able to address them for the open beta. There are UI/UX known issues, too, including the “Close Map” button not working properly and the pick-up prompt no appearing on some gadgets.
You can see a bigger list of known issues below, as shared by Battlefield Studios. The list is not comprehensive, though, as players have also encountered issues requiring them to manually enable Secure Boot in order to play.
The list of known issues below also includes some helpful workarounds from the developer, including for some PC and console problems, so be sure to consult the list for all the information.
The Battlefield 6 open beta is available now to a limited group of people–but it’s not hard to get in. The open beta becomes available to everyone August 9-10 and then again August 14-17. The full game, meanwhile, launches on October 10.

- Freshly reinstall the Battlefield Open Beta and get on the Battlefield.
Crash Awareness:

- This can be resolved by repairing the game.
- Players may experience a crash on the splash screen without any errors.
- You need to disable Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR) globally or add an exception for bf6event.exe:
- Disable globally (requires PC restart):
- Open Windows Security → App & browser control → Exploit protection settings – Under System settings, turn Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR) Off
- Restart your PC and launch the game again.
