Come on Barbie, let’s go party on the big screen! Warner Bros. Pictures dropped the first look at the new Barbie movie and we’re obsessed.
In the photo, posted to Twitter by Warner Bros. Pictures, Margot Robbie smiles as the iconic Barbie, gripping the steering wheel of the classic pink Chevrolet Corvette.

What is the Barbie movie about?
Although the film’s plot is currently under wraps, Great Gerwig is set to direct and also wrote the screenplay with Noah Baumbach. With this kind of collaboration between the Little Women director and Marriage Story director, the possibilities of a magical Barbie story are endless.
Barbie cast
Margot Robbie stars as the film’s protagonist, Barbie, while Ryan Gosling will be playing the hunky role of Ken. The cast also includes Issa Rae, Will Ferrell, Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu, Michael Cera, America Ferrera, and Emma Mackey.
Margot Robbie shared her excitement for the film in last year’s issue of British Vogue. “It comes with a lot of baggage!” she says. “And a lot of nostalgic connections. But with that come a lot of exciting ways to attack it.”
Barbie 2023 release date
The movie is set to release in movie theaters on July 23, 2023 and audiences are already getting excited.
