Another blockbuster title is coming to Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft has confirmed another huge title is set to join Xbox Game Pass later this year.

For a monthly fee, Xbox Game Pass subscribers get access to an evolving library of games. The standard tier costs £9.99 a month and offers “hundred” of different titles while the Ultimate tier will set you back £14.99 but lets you play brand new releases on the same day they’re launched.

Earlier this year, Microsoft confirmed 18 Day One releases would be joining the service throughout 2025 and beyond including Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, the recently-confirmed Persona 4 remake and the remastered Gears Of War.

Now Microsoft has announced that Frostpunk 2 will be available to all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers from September 18, 2025. Non-Xbox Game Pass subscribers will also be able to purchase the game for £37.99 on the same date.

The game originally launched in September 2024 for PC and will be released at some point this year for PlayStation 5.

Frostpunk 2 is set 30 years after an apocalyptic blizzard devastated Earth, with players leading a resource-hungry metropolis. “You face not only the perils of never-ending winter, but also the powerful factions that watch your every step inside the Council Hall,” reads the official description.

It’s also been confirmed that a sequel is already in the works at 11 Bit Arcade.
