Today in game crossovers we didn’t see coming, Among Us and Genshin Impact are collaborating to bring beloved Genshin companion and emergency food, Paimon, to your Emergency Meetings. The free cosmetic crossover is available from September 10.
The crossover includes three new cosmetics for Among Us–a Paimon-themed wig, costume, and the Crest of the Best Travel Companion nameplate. The cosmetics can be redeemed for free, simply by logging into Among Us between September 10 and October 10–after which point they won’t be available again.
The crossover is timed to release with Genshin Impact’s major new update, dubbed “Luna I” by HoYoVerse, which will bring the game to version 6.0. The update adds a new moon-themed region called Nod-Krai, a dangerous autonomous region in the very south of Snezhnaya that also happens to be a lunar remnant.
The Luna I update will also bring a new Archon quest and three new characters to wish for: 5-Star Dendro Catalyst user Lauma, 5-Star Electro Polearm user Flins, and 4-Star Hydro Claymore user Aino.
While Among Us and Genshin Impact may not be the first games you would expect to collaborate, this kind of crossover isn’t unusual for Innersloth. Among Us previously brought a very different visual style to its game with a Destiny 2-themed event, and Crewmates and Imposters have in turn made an appearance in What The Golf and What The Car.
